Sibeg Coca-Cola Invests €51 Million in Sicilian Logistics Facility
Sibeg Coca-Cola, the bottling partner for Coca-Cola products in Sicily, has announced the initiation of a significant new logistics project at its Catania location. The company is investing €51 million in this venture, aiming to boost operational efficiency through enhanced automation and management of logistics.
The new logistics facility, designed for the automated storage of goods, will boast a capacity of approximately 43,000 pallets. An elevated tunnel will connect it to the existing bottling plant, facilitating the seamless transfer of raw materials to production lines and the movement of finished products back to storage and loading areas.
According to the company's general manager, Luca Busi, this investment is part of a broader strategy to increase competitiveness and programming capacity. It also aims to establish a sustainable production infrastructure in Catania that can meet future challenges.
The Catania bottling plant, established in 1960, currently operates eight production lines and manages well-known brands like Coca-Cola, Monster Energy products, and Acqua di Tepelene water. The project is expected to reach completion by July next year, with the warehouse becoming operational in November.
Busi remarked that following the introduction of the aseptic line, the eighth production line inaugurated last year, this new investment further solidifies Sibeg Coca-Cola's position as an advanced production center in southern Italy.
