PepsiCo Reintroduces Quaker Oat Beverage Line in the US Market
PepsiCo is re-entering the US market with its Quaker oat beverages through the introduction of Quaker Oat Shake & Go. This new product represents PepsiCo’s renewed effort to establish a presence in the US beverage industry after discontinuing its previous Quaker Oat Beverage line in 2019, less than a year after its launch.
The Quaker Oat Shake & Go is designed to cater to consumers seeking a convenient and nutritious option for meals such as breakfast, lunch, or snacks. Each serving of the shake provides 16g of whole grains, 15g of protein, and 3g of fiber. When prepared with 8oz of milk, the protein content increases to 23g.
One of the unique features of the Quaker Oat Shake & Go is its dry powder form, which does not require refrigeration and contains no artificial preservatives, flavors, or added colors. This aligns with PepsiCo's aim to offer a product that complements consumers' routines rather than serving as a complete meal replacement.
The product is being introduced nationwide in two flavors: Strawberry & Banana and Cinnamon Vanilla. It will be available at major retailers and grocery chains across the United States starting this month.
James Wade, Quaker Foods' Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized Quaker's long-standing reputation for quality and nutritional expertise, stating, "For nearly 150 years, Quaker has been a trusted authority on oats and a beloved household brand known for quality and nutritional expertise. The introduction of Quaker Oat Shake & Go helps reimagine the way our nutritious oats show up – bringing the power of protein, fiber, and 100% whole grain oats into a delicious, drinkable format."
This launch reflects PepsiCo's strategic adjustment in its approach to the US market, aiming to draw on Quaker's historical strengths in oats and consumer trust in the brand.
