New Openings and Closings in New York's Beverage Scene

Sweet Peanut Records, an independent record store, will open its doors on July 18th at 463 Amsterdam Avenue. The store will offer a variety of new and used vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and audio equipment. Owner Hunter Brammer, who has transitioned from a career in finance, aims to foster a community around music and plans to host events for album releases.

Caffè Aronne, a kosher-certified coffee shop, is opening a new location inside the Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center later this summer. The shop, which began as a catering brand in 2018, will serve specialty coffee drinks, pastries, smoothies, teas, and more. The new location will feature an expanded 'grab-and-go' menu and a service window for quick pickups.

The tea shop formerly known as Molly Tea, located near Columbia University, has undergone a rebranding and is now called '? Tea'. This change follows a legal dispute with its parent company, MollyTea Global. The shop offers a variety of specialty teas and smoothies, including unique flavors such as lime cheese premium jasmine and pistachio jasmine tea.

Wu's Dynasty, a traditional Cantonese restaurant, is set to open in August at 208 West 70th Street. The restaurant will offer dim sum and Cantonese-style seafood, expanding the culinary options in the area. Owner Derek Wu, known for his work with Wu's Wonton King, aims to provide a space for the community to enjoy Cantonese cuisine.

Central Park Grill & Juice Bar, located at 405 Central Park West, is closed for renovations under new management. The deli, which previously offered a range of meals and snacks, is expected to reopen with updates in the future.
