Taiwan First Biotechnology Expands Beverage Production Capacity

Taiwan First Biotechnology Corp. has initiated the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Chiayi, Taiwan, to boost its production capacity for sterile cold-filled bottled beverages. This expansion is in response to increasing demand, with the company's existing production lines operating at full capacity.

The investment, amounting to NT$4 billion (approximately US$123.6 million), will incorporate advanced automated manufacturing equipment and digital management systems. The facility will cover an area exceeding 20,000 square meters and is projected to be operational by the fourth quarter of next year. It will feature a production line capable of producing 900 bottles per minute.

Founded in 1998, Taiwan First Biotechnology is recognized as one of Taiwan's leading contract beverage manufacturers, specializing in the sterile cold filling process. This method involves using ultra-high-temperature treatment to sterilize drinks, which are then rapidly cooled to room temperature before being filled into plastic bottles in a sterile environment. This technique is particularly beneficial for preserving the flavor and quality of tea drinks.

According to Chair Chen Kuan-han, the expansion not only addresses the growing market demand but also enhances the company's production capabilities and international competitiveness.
