Strategic Beverage Services Acquires BevZero's US Operations to Expand Dealcoholisation Services
Strategic Beverage Services, located in Santa Rosa, California, has completed the acquisition of BevZero's US operations, a move that positions them as the largest provider of dealcoholisation services in the United States. This development is aimed at strengthening their presence in the evolving market for low- and no-alcohol beverages, which is experiencing increasing demand across the country.
The acquisition brings together Strategic Beverage Services' existing expertise with BevZero-US's proprietary dealcoholisation technology and technical know-how, targeting wineries, distilleries, cider producers, and functional beverage companies. Patrick Morgan, the Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Beverage Services, highlighted that this acquisition would significantly bolster their capability to provide scaling solutions for the dealcoholisation industry.
In addition to dealcoholisation, the newly combined entity will offer a wide range of beverage processing services such as co-packing and production, alcohol adjustments, and cross-flow filtration. These services will support beverage producers from initial product development stages through to commercial production.
BevZero has been recognized as a leader in alcohol removal since pioneering vacuum distillation processes in 1991. The company has expanded its services to focus on low- and no-alcohol beverages as well as functional beverages across wine, cider, and spirits sectors.
BevZero-US's reputation in the industry is further evidenced by their strong performance at the International Non-Alcoholic Competition held in New Jersey in June 2026.
With this strategic acquisition, Strategic Beverage Services plans to extend its processing capacity and offer an enhanced suite of services to cater to the burgeoning market of alcohol-free and reduced-alcohol products, in response to shifting consumer preferences.
