Starbucks Revives Unicorn Frappuccino for Limited Global Release
Starbucks has officially confirmed the return of its popular Unicorn Frappuccino, a colorful blended drink that captivated customers when it first appeared in 2017. The beverage, known for its striking purple and blue hues and unique taste, will be available for a limited period worldwide.
The Unicorn Frappuccino made its debut in 2017 and quickly became a viral sensation. Its initial release was limited to just five days, contributing to its status as one of Starbucks' most coveted limited-time offerings. The drink is crafted with a blend of pink powder, mango syrup, and a sour blue drizzle, topped with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder.
Upon consumption, the Unicorn Frappuccino is known for its color-changing properties, transitioning from purple to pink. Customers who tasted the drink during its original run described its flavor as reminiscent of fruit punch and blue raspberry, with others likening it to a milder version of Sour Skittles.
While the Unicorn Frappuccino has been mostly absent from Starbucks stores since its debut, it did make a brief appearance at the Coachella festival in 2026, where a limited supply was offered each day. Starbucks has now announced that the drink will be available at locations nationwide and globally for a single weekend as a summer finale.
Despite confirming the return of the Unicorn Frappuccino, Starbucks has yet to disclose the exact launch date for this limited release. Fans eagerly await the opportunity to once again experience one of the coffee chain's most talked-about beverages.
