Starbucks Japan Debuts New Peach Beverages for Summer Season
As summer arrives in Japan, Starbucks is celebrating the season with the launch of three new beverages, all featuring the flavor of peach. Among the offerings is the Peach & Peach Milk Frappuccino, priced at 720 yen (approximately US$4.45) for dine-in customers. This iteration of the Frappuccino uses skimmed milk, resulting in a creamy yet lighter finish. It includes peach fruit pieces that provide a jelly-like freshness, contrasting with the milky body and whipped cream topping. Customers can enhance the sweetness by adding White Mocha Syrup for an additional 55 yen.
The Craft Juicy Peach Tea, starting at 630 yen, has returned after a successful release last year. This time, the addition of peach syrup intensifies the peach flavor. The black tea's slight astringency complements the sweet peach pieces at the base, with the syrup contributing to a smoother texture and a well-rounded finish. Consumers have the option to customize this drink further by adding honey, milk, or requesting less ice.
Starbucks also suggests trying the tea with milk, transforming it into a peach milk tea. This customization changes the drink's appearance and flavor profile, making it creamier and easier to drink. It has been noted as a favorite among the new releases. The peachy offerings are available for a limited time during the summer, showcasing different aspects of peach flavors.
