Starbucks Introduces First Vending Machines in Japan with Exclusive Coffee Offerings
Starbucks has announced the introduction of its first-ever vending machines in Japan, created in partnership with beverage company Suntory. These machines are designed with Starbucks' signature green and black branding and will feature the familiar Siren logo along with the slogan 'Anytime, anywhere, with ease, Starbucks' prominently displayed.
Exclusive Drink
The vending machines will initially offer four different Starbucks drinks, two in cans and two in bottles. Among these, the Coffee Signatures Black stands out as an exclusive offering that will be released on September 15th. This new beverage is noteworthy for being Starbucks' first ready-to-drink coffee in Japan made using espresso-roasted beans, providing a full-bodied flavor and rich aroma.
Additional Beverage Options
Alongside the exclusive Coffee Signatures Black, the machines will also offer a revamped version of Starbucks' My Retreat Caramel Macchiato, which is exclusively available through these vending machines. The Caramel Macchiato incorporates a blend of Starbucks coffee, milk, and sweet caramel flavor.
The other two available drinks have been on the market since November and include the My Coffee Time Black and My Coffee Time Cafe Latte. The Black variant is made with specially selected Arabica beans, ensuring a fragrant flavor devoid of excessive bitterness, while the Cafe Latte combines dark-roasted coffee with milk to create a creamier taste.
Deployment Details
Although Starbucks has not yet disclosed the precise locations for these vending machines, they are expected to be positioned in high-traffic areas such as train stations starting from mid-September. This move is aimed at providing customers with quicker and more convenient access to Starbucks coffee in a country known for its widespread use of vending machines.
