Russian Forces Attack PepsiCo Facility in Mykolaiv Oblast
On August 29, 2026, Russian military forces launched an offensive targeting a PepsiCo production site in the Mykolaiv Oblast region of Ukraine. The following day, on August 30, PepsiCo issued a statement confirming the attack and detailing that the site had sustained a substantial fire as a result.
The State Emergency Service (SES) of Mykolaiv Oblast reported that no injuries were recorded during the incident, a fact corroborated by PepsiCo. The affected facility is involved in the production of juices, carbonated drinks, and iced tea, with brands like Sadochok, Sandora, and Lipton Ice Tea being manufactured at the site.
The SES also noted the complex firefighting conditions on the ground. The threat of subsequent strikes posed significant challenges to emergency response efforts in dealing with the blaze. The local SES had initially reported the damage hit a warehouse associated with the food industry, before confirming it was specific to PepsiCo's operations.
