Re:Nourish introduces the UK's first microwaveable bottled bone broth
Re:Nourish has made significant strides in the functional beverage market with its latest product, claiming the launch of the UK's first microwaveable bottled bone broth. The innovative broth, crafted from British chicken, delivers 20g of protein and 11g of collagen while having only 107 calories per 500g bottle. The product is designed for convenience, allowing consumers to microwave it in minutes and enjoy it immediately.
This strategic move aims to cater to the health-conscious consumer base interested in high-protein and clean-eating trends. The bone broth product is positioned as versatile, usable in recipes or as a standalone drink on the go. From September 16, the bottled broth will be available in 300 Sainsbury’s stores, 300 Waitrose stores, and through Ocado, retailing at £3.75 per 500g. It boasts a refrigerated shelf life of 32 days.
Nicci Clark, the founder of Re:Nourish, emphasized the product's appeal, highlighting its natural ingredients, high protein, and collagen content. The broth's introduction is part of a broader expansion that includes debuting pasta sauces and high-protein soups. The pasta sauces, Italian Tomato & Basil and Italian Tomato & Mascarpone, are exclusive to Sainsbury's and free from added sugars or unnecessary additives, priced at £2.95 for 300g.
Despite recent challenges, including a fire that destroyed packaging and the collapse of Fairoak Foods, Re:Nourish has doubled its annual value sales to £8.4 million, according to recent data from NIQ.
The company also plans to introduce the +Revive Super 7 Vegetable soup, enriched with seven vegetables and chickpeas, in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado, priced at £3.35 for 500g. This high-protein, high-fiber soup will also be available from September 16.
