Pure Green Expands to Fremont's Centerville with First Bay Area Store
Pure Green, a Florida-based juice bar franchise, is venturing into the Bay Area market with a new store located in Fremont's historic Centerville district. This marks a significant expansion for the smoothie and juice chain known for its cold-pressed juices and health-conscious menu options. Located at 37140 Fremont Blvd., the new store will occupy a 1,051-square-foot space and is expected to create 10 to 12 jobs.
The franchise selected Centerville for its debut Bay Area location as part of its national expansion strategy. The site is part of the Artist Walk development, a mixed-use project featuring retail spaces combined with residential apartments above. This location offers a built-in customer base that has contributed to Centerville's reputation as a small but consistent commercial hub.
The Fremont store is being opened by franchisees Ishita and Kunal Bavishi, who are already planning to explore additional locations once the Centerville outlet is operating smoothly. According to the franchise's disclosure, opening a Pure Green requires a substantial investment, with requirements including a net worth of $300,000, liquid capital of $100,000, and total startup costs between $177,450 and $493,900, alongside a $40,000 franchise fee.
Pure Green's menu features a range of health-focused items, including cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, açaí and pitaya bowls, and steel-cut oatmeal bowls. As part of their seasonal offerings, the chain will reintroduce their pumpkin spice smoothie and oatmeal bowl, which contain ingredients such as pumpkin puree and various spices.
To facilitate operations, Pure Green uses a distribution model where their products are made off-site and delivered pre-bottled to stores, simplifying in-store processes and eliminating the need for specialized equipment. This approach differentiates Pure Green from typical fresh-juiced bars.
Founded in New York City in 2014 by former personal trainer Ross Franklin, the brand advocates for a health philosophy where nutrition constitutes 80% of wellness, paired with exercise. The chain has expanded rapidly, growing to 104 locations by May 2026, with significant growth in Florida.
Fremont's demographic profile, with a high median household income and a diverse population, aligns with Pure Green's target market. The North American market for cold-pressed juices is also expected to grow substantially, valued at $1.51 billion in 2026 and projected to reach $2.62 billion by 2034, according to Fortune Business Insights. This trend supports Pure Green's strategic expansion, including the new Fremont store.
