Her appointment comes at a time when the food and beverage industry is adapting to changing consumer expectations regarding nutrition, functionality, and transparency. Ocean Spray, which markets over 1,000 products in more than 100 countries, has been focusing on the health benefits of cranberries while expanding its product range.
In her own words, Buckwalter stated, "Our industry finds itself at an incredibly dynamic tipping point in consumer behavior and buying habits." She highlighted the unique position of Ocean Spray to meet consumer demands for taste and health benefits.
Founded in 1930, Ocean Spray is owned by approximately 700 family farmers in the United States, Canada, and Chile. The cooperative remains a leading name in the juice and fruit-based beverage sector.
