Nichols and Myprotein Launch Clear Whey Protein Water in the UK
Nichols and Myprotein have launched the Myprotein Clear Whey Protein Water in the UK under a multi-year brand licensing agreement. The new product will be manufactured by Nichols and distributed through its extensive UK retail network. This launch is part of Myprotein’s strategic expansion into the ready-to-drink segment, leveraging Nichols’ expertise in soft drinks manufacturing and distribution.
The Clear Whey Protein Water is crafted to provide consumers with a lighter and refreshing option to boost their daily protein intake. This product introduction further strengthens the existing partnership between Myprotein and Nichols' Vimto brand. Andrew Milne, CEO of Nichols, highlighted the growth in the functional drinks sector, noting that consumers are increasingly seeking beverages that offer both taste and functional benefits.
Neil Mistry, CEO of THG Nutrition, Myprotein's parent company, emphasized the growing consumer interest in protein-enhanced drinks. He described the product as a natural progression for the Myprotein and Vimto collaboration and indicated the brand's intent to penetrate the chilled and impulse retail channels.
The Clear Whey Protein Water signifies a considerable move for Myprotein into the ready-to-drink market, aiming to capture the increasing demand for convenient and health-oriented beverage options. This product is expected to appeal to a broad audience seeking both nutritional benefits and taste.
