Neutonic Secures $6 Million for Expansion Amid Nootropic Drink Success
Neutonic, the nootropic drinks and supplements brand, has announced a successful $6 million funding round aimed at accelerating its retail expansion. The funding comes from notable investors such as Alan Barrett, Ollie Marchon, Ross Edgley, Dan Martell, and Cody Sanchez. Additionally, Jay Parker, founder of Gym King, has joined Neutonic as a special advisor.
Founded in 2023 by James Smith, a prominent fitness entrepreneur, and Chris Williamson, host of the Modern Wisdom podcast, Neutonic has rapidly scaled its operations. The company has achieved significant success, selling over 7.5 million cans and reaching the number one position in both the energy drink and grocery categories on Amazon.
Neutonic's product portfolio is centered around a nootropic productivity drink, with additional offerings including brain capsules, creatine sachets, and innovative nootropicks—functional ingredient-infused toothpicks. The brand anticipates exceeding $25 million in revenue this year, with plans for further growth in the coming years.
The flagship drink of Neutonic contains 500mg cognizin, 400mg rhodiola rosea, 400mg L-theanine, 120mg caffeine, and 200mg pansax ginsent, along with the recommended daily intake of B vitamins. This formulation is designed to support brain health and enhance productivity.
In the UK, Neutonic has secured retail listings in 500 Sainsbury’s stores, complementing its presence in Ocado, Morrisons Daily, Booths, and over 1,200 Motor Fuel Group locations. The brand is also available in major gym chains such as Fitness First and Everlast. In the United States, Neutonic is stocked in GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe, and Central Market, with plans for further national expansion.
James Smith and Chris Williamson have leveraged their substantial social media following to promote the brand, with Smith drawing on his experience as a personal trainer and author. The company's rapid growth is attributed to its strategic decisions and the founders' existing goodwill among their audiences.
Despite its swift expansion, Neutonic continues to prioritize direct consumer engagement, allowing it to educate potential customers about the brand and its offerings. This approach has been instrumental in its success, along with the founders' commitment to maintaining personal connections with customers.
