Molson Coors Expands Nonalcoholic Portfolio with Coors 0.0% Launch

Molson Coors is set to introduce Coors 0.0%, a nonalcoholic version of Coors Light, marking the company's first foray into zero-alcohol beer. This product will initially be available in select Northeastern markets starting in May, with plans for a nationwide release in 2027. Coors 0.0% joins the company's growing lineup of nonalcoholic beverages, which includes Blue Moon Non-Alcoholic, Peroni 0.0, and Coors Edge.

The move comes as part of Molson Coors' efforts to adapt to shifting consumer preferences, which increasingly favor premium and spirit-based drinks over traditional alcoholic beers. The company's nonalcoholic offerings, such as Blue Moon, have shown positive growth, with the brand experiencing a 25% increase in sales, as noted by CEO Rahul Goyal earlier this year at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York (CAGNY) conference.

In addition to expanding its nonalcoholic beer options, Molson Coors has diversified its beverage portfolio by incorporating energy drinks and cocktail mixers. The company also ventured into the ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail space with its acquisition of Monaco Cocktails earlier this year. This strategic diversification aligns with industry trends, as other major beer producers, including Heineken and Modelo, have similarly expanded their offerings to include nonalcoholic versions of their classic brews.
