M&S Expands Its Range of Non-Alcoholic Beverages
M&S is strengthening its line of non-alcoholic beverages with the introduction of several new products this month. Among the brands listed are BOLLE, a company known for its unique double-fermentation method, and Feragaia, which offers a spirit crafted entirely without alcohol. BOLLE products will be available in over 400 stores, while Feragaia can be found in 355 locations nationwide.
The market for low and no-alcohol drinks is expanding, as reflected by a 40% increase in sales over the past two years. This trend highlights a broader consumer shift towards healthier beverage choices devoid of alcohol. BOLLE, founded in 2021 by Roberto Vanin, has patented a method that aims to enhance the texture of non-alcoholic wines, addressing the common complaint of flatness associated with such products.
Chance Clean Cider, another addition to the M&S shelves, offers a 0.5% ABV cider and will be available in 325 stores. Established in 2024 by John Logue, Chance marks a significant achievement with its listing at a major UK retailer. Meanwhile, the Feragaia brand, originating from Scotland and founded in 2019, emphasizes its use of 12 botanicals from both land and sea in its alcohol-free spirit's creation process.
Brand representatives, including Gary Read of BOLLE and Bill Garnock of Feragaia, have expressed optimism about the M&S partnership, citing it as a mark of quality and a crucial development for their respective brands. John Logue of Chance regards the listing as a significant milestone for the young company.
