Lavazza Launches Dairy-Based Chilled RTD Coffee Line in Partnership with Müller
Lavazza has made its debut in the chilled ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee market with the launch of a new dairy-based range developed in collaboration with Müller. This new offering includes four beverages inspired by Italian coffee traditions: Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Caramel Latte, and Cappuccino Tiramisù. Each product is presented in a 220ml chilled format.
The Cappuccino Tiramisù draws inspiration from the classic Italian dessert, aiming to provide a balance of indulgence and refreshment. This launch targets the increasing demand for premium chilled coffee options among consumers seeking convenient, café-style experiences.
This marks Lavazza's first venture into the refrigerated RTD coffee segment, which is gaining popularity as consumers look for on-the-go coffee solutions. Lavazza leverages its 130 years of coffee expertise, combined with Müller’s established capabilities in chilled dairy manufacturing.
The new range is currently available at Sainsbury's, with plans for wider distribution across additional UK retailers in the coming months. Prior to this UK launch, similar introductions were made in Germany and Italy, as part of Lavazza's broader European expansion strategy.
To promote the range, Lavazza is showcasing its products at the Wimbledon Queue, capitalizing on its long-standing partnership with The Championships. This move is part of Lavazza's strategy to expand its presence beyond traditional coffee formats and underscores its commitment to innovation in the RTD coffee market, where premiumisation and convenience are significant consumer trends.
