IntelliAM Unveils Industrial AI Platform to Boost Manufacturing Productivity
At the London Stock Exchange, IntelliAM introduced its new Industrial Intelligence Platform designed to address the challenges of turning industrial data into actionable operational decisions. This launch is significant for manufacturers facing labor shortages and difficulty in recruiting experienced engineers. Instead of focusing solely on data collection, the platform seeks to enhance operational decisions.
Three Integrated Layers
The platform consists of three integrated layers: IntelliAM 53, Decipher, and Enigma. IntelliAM 53 focuses on capturing and cleaning machine and asset data directly from equipment. Decipher transforms this data into contextual operational intelligence, while Enigma employs agentic AI to recommend and potentially initiate actions based on real-time conditions in the factory.
Addressing the Skills Gap
The introduction of this platform coincides with a period when manufacturers are grappling with skills shortages and increasingly complex production environments. Tom Clayton, CEO of IntelliAM, emphasized that the current challenge is not access to information but making decisions based on that data. He believes the next phase of productivity improvements in Britain will stem from optimizing current production assets.
For food and drink manufacturers, where capital investments are lengthy, even minor improvements in equipment effectiveness can yield substantial financial benefits. IntelliAM's focus on industrial data rather than generic models trained on internet content highlights its dedication to providing deterministic and explainable outputs crucial for production environments.
Potential Economic Impact
IntelliAM reports collaborations with half of the world's top twelve food and drink manufacturers. In one instance, a deployment increased the mean time between failures by 215% over a year, showcasing the potential of combining industrial data with AI-driven decision-making. The company estimates that a 2% improvement in operational efficiency across the UK's food and drink manufacturing sector could create approximately £746 million in annual value, with a 5% improvement potentially generating nearly £1.9 billion.
The launch of IntelliAM's platform reflects a shift in industrial AI towards closed-loop manufacturing intelligence, where AI not only identifies problems but also guides operators towards optimal responses. This development could be particularly advantageous for food manufacturers facing automation trends and the need to boost productivity without significant capital investments.
