I.T.S Expands into Health and Wellness with New Leadership

UK flavour house I.T.S has announced the creation of a dedicated Health and Wellness division, marking a strategic investment in one of its fastest-growing business areas. This initiative includes the appointment of two new senior leaders, Mark Nicholson and Paschalina Papadogkona, who bring extensive industry experience to the company.

Mark Nicholson, appointed as head of performance for Health & Wellness, has over 30 years of experience in sports and performance nutrition. He has collaborated with major global brands, specializing in functional food and beverage categories such as sports nutrition and nutraceuticals. Paschalina Papadogkona, the new senior performance and innovation specialist, has more than 15 years of expertise in product development and innovation, particularly in the UK and European markets.

I.T.S owner and founder Mike Bagshaw highlighted the importance of this division, stating, "Health and wellness has become one of the fastest-growing parts of our business as brands continue to innovate in sports nutrition, functional foods, and better-for-you products." He emphasized the need for a flavour partner that offers a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and commercial insight, which both new hires are expected to provide.

In addition to leadership changes, I.T.S is investing over £10 million to develop an 8.2-acre site near Hungerford. This new facility is expected to increase production capacity for liquid and powdered flavours by more than 20 times compared to the current site in Newbury. The expansion will also support scalable production of extracts and compounds, with potential for future extensions.

The expansion is part of a broader growth plan for I.T.S, which reported a year-over-year growth of approximately 35%. Earlier in 2026, the company announced plans to establish one of the UK's largest natural flavour manufacturing sites, further solidifying its position in the market.
