Fevertree Reports Increased Interim Profit as UK Market Shows Recovery
Fevertree Drinks has reported an increase in both interim profit and revenue for the six months leading up to June 30, 2023. The company's total adjusted brand revenue rose by 8% to £183.6 million. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation increased by 9% to £20.1 million.
The US market experienced a revenue growth of 7%, reaching £66.9 million. This growth was attributed to the firm's partnership with Molson Coors, which enhanced distribution and merchandising capabilities. The US success was also supported by Fevertree's first national marketing campaign.
In the UK, revenue grew by 3% to reach £49.5 million. This was supported by strong performance in the Off-Trade channel and favorable summer weather, which benefited consumer demand.
European revenues rose by 13% to £49.6 million, indicating strong market performance in that region as well. Meanwhile, sales in the Rest of the World increased by 7%, totaling £17.6 million.
Tim Warrillow, Fevertree's chief executive and co-founder, expressed optimism about the results, citing the successful partnership with Molson Coors and the impact of the 'Straight up or Mixed' marketing campaign in the UK.
Despite the positive results, Fevertree's shares fell by 3.2%, standing at 791p as of 0807 BST. This decline reflects broader market conditions rather than company-specific issues.
