Emmi Caffè Latte Introduces a Chilled Matcha Drink

Emmi Caffè Latte has recently expanded its product lineup with a new matcha-flavored ready-to-drink option. The new product, priced at £2.50 per 230ml, aims to make high-quality matcha lattes more accessible for everyday consumers. It features premium matcha combined with fresh Swiss milk, promoting a smooth and creamy taste without any artificial flavors or sweeteners.

Georgia Lightbody, senior brand manager at Emmi Caffè Latte, stated that the introduction targets consumers who seek premium beverages that echo the flavors found in cafés. With an increasing trend towards adventurous tastes, consumers are moving beyond traditional iced coffee to try new flavors.

The launch of the matcha line is part of Emmi Caffè Latte's broader innovation strategy, following the introduction of Zero and High Protein variants in the past year. According to Lightbody, this move also aligns with the ongoing trend of premiumization within the ready-to-drink sector, where shoppers are more willing to trade up for products that offer a café-quality taste and unique flavor experiences.

The matcha drink was introduced at Tesco on October 5th and will be available as part of a meal deal in a larger 370ml format, priced at £3.20, starting from October 12th.
