Döhler Enhances Georgia Facility for Advanced Natural Flavour Production

Döhler has announced a significant expansion of its Cartersville, Georgia, facility, aimed at meeting the growing demand for natural and clean-label flavour solutions in the food, beverage, and nutrition industries. This development enhances the company's hydroethanolic extraction capabilities for botanicals, allowing for increased production of natural extracts used in flavour and functional ingredient applications.

The expansion includes a larger reaction chemistry platform dedicated to sweet reaction flavours, pyrazines, and natural chemistry. This move is intended to broaden Döhler's portfolio of authentic taste solutions, providing more complex and differentiated flavour profiles.

Additionally, the Cartersville facility has seen an increase in liquid flavour production capacity and expanded batch sizes. This improvement provides greater manufacturing flexibility, enabling the company to respond more efficiently to customer demands.

Part of a broader strategy to enhance North American capabilities, the Cartersville upgrade is complemented by Döhler's finished beverage processing operations in New Jersey, along with a newly established emulsion laboratory and predictive stability testing room. These facilities are designed to support product development, stability testing, and faster commercialisation.

Paul Graham, President of the Americas at Döhler, stated, "This expansion represents a key milestone in our ongoing investment in innovation and capacity. By enhancing our extraction and reaction capabilities, we are empowering our customers to create differentiated products that meet the growing demand for natural, functional, and great-tasting solutions."

The investment aligns with the increased focus of food and beverage manufacturers on clean-label formulations and botanical ingredients, driving demand for advanced natural flavour technologies and integrated ingredient solutions.
