Coca-Cola Increases Annual Revenue Forecast Amid Strong Sales
Coca-Cola has announced an increase in its annual revenue and profit forecasts, attributing this adjustment to the strong performance of its zero sugar beverages and the fairlife milk brand in the United States. The announcement follows a notable boost in sales during the FIFA World Cup, which contributed to the high demand for the company's trademark beverages and zero sugar drinks, even as consumer spending on non-essential items has generally softened, particularly among lower-income groups in the US.
The beverage giant reported a 6% rise in its second-quarter comparable revenue, reaching $13.37 billion, which exceeded the $13.16 billion estimate compiled by LSEG. Coca-Cola's share value has increased by approximately 20% this year, reflecting investor confidence and strong market performance.
To further enhance sales, Coca-Cola implemented strategic pricing adjustments, including raising prices on certain products and offering smaller packaging for its flagship drinks to appeal to cost-conscious consumers in the US market. These measures have helped boost the company's sales figures.
In addition to its strategy around pricing and packaging, Coca-Cola has invested in expanding its portfolio of beverages. This includes ready-to-drink teas and milk products from its fairlife brand, which have also contributed to increased revenue streams.
Looking ahead, Coca-Cola projects an organic revenue growth of about 5% for 2026, compared to its previous target range of 4% to 5%. Moreover, the company anticipates a growth in comparable earnings per share of 9% to 10%, up from its earlier estimate of 8% to 9% growth.
