Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Invests in Fanta with Price Promotions
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has announced a multimillion-pound investment to support its Fanta brand through a limited-time price-marked pack (PMP) initiative. This initiative includes a reduction in the price of its 2L Fanta PMP to £1.89, down from £2.15, across its Fanta Orange and Fanta Fruit Twist varieties. Additionally, Fanta Lemon is being introduced in a 2L PMP at the same price point for the first time.
The investment is designed to help convenience retailers maximize sales during the summer, which is a peak period for soft drink purchases. The promotion aims to capitalize on the popularity of Fanta, which is the leading flavored carbonate brand in Great Britain, accounting for nearly one in every five flavored carbonates sold.
Price-marked packs have proven to be effective in communicating value to consumers, achieving a 48% higher rate of sale compared to non-price-marked soft drinks in independent and symbol convenience stores. The promotional packs are available while stocks last, featuring bold new pricing on the front to make them easily identifiable on shelves.
Retailers can enhance in-store visibility of the promotion by accessing point-of-sale materials and digital assets through MyCCEP.com. Ruth Fawcett, Wholesale & Independent Convenience Associate Director at CCEP GB, stated that the investment is about offering trusted brands at genuine value prices during the summer.
Although CCEP provides recommended prices for its PMPs, retailers are free to set their own prices. Plain packs are also available for those who prefer not to use price-marked options.
