Celsius Holdings has announced significant changes to its leadership team as part of an organisational realignment. This shake-up comes shortly after the company's recent financial results did not meet Wall Street expectations.
Celsius Restructures Leadership Amidst Organisational Realignment

Celsius Holdings, a leading energy-drinks company based in Florida, has undertaken a comprehensive restructuring of its leadership team. This move is part of an announced organisational realignment aimed at supporting the company’s broader energy portfolio strategy.

The most notable change is the exit of Eric Hanson, who served as the President and Chief Operating Officer. The company has not specified the reasons behind Hanson's departure, nor has it confirmed whether it plans to find a successor for the role.

As part of the restructuring, Tyler Bohannon has been promoted to the position of Chief Commercial Officer. Bohannon will now be responsible for overseeing field sales, managing key retailer accounts, handling direct-store-delivery operations, and driving revenue growth across Celsius's portfolio. He brings valuable experience from his previous positions at Nestlé Waters, Coors Brewing, Rockstar Energy, and PepsiCo.

Additionally, Tony Guilfoyle, previously the Chief Customer Officer, has assumed a newly created position as Chief Business Transformation Officer, where he will spearhead initiatives to enhance operational excellence and support the adoption of AI.

The leadership restructuring follows Celsius's second-quarter financial results, which underperformed Wall Street’s forecasts. The company's revenue for the quarter rose by 11% to $817.9 million, while the first half of the year saw a 50% revenue increase, totaling $1.6 billion. Despite this, revenue from its flagship brand saw a decline due to a variety of factors, including higher trade investments and changes in inventory management.

Investor interests were piqued by Russ Savage, founder of Rockstar Energy, who has publicly advocated for further management changes at Celsius. Savage has accumulated a stake of approximately 4.7% in the company and proposed assuming the role of CEO himself. Celsius responded by expressing openness to shareholder ideas that could create value.

The company remains committed to executing its total energy portfolio strategy to ensure long-term growth and has engaged with Savage over the years to discuss potential enhancements.
