Biomel Introduces Love Your Gut Protein Drinks and Expands Operations

Biomel, known for its focus on gut health, has unveiled a new line of drinks named Love Your Gut, which aims to promote gut and muscle health. Each beverage in this new range contains billions of live cultures, 20g of complete plant-based protein, and 7g of fiber, while keeping sugar content below 2.5g per 100ml. The drinks also feature branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) such as leucine, isoleucine, and valine, alongside a blend of 20 vitamins and minerals.

The Love Your Gut protein drinks are available in three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and matcha. These flavors cater to current trends, particularly the increasing interest in Japanese tea flavors. Manufactured in the UK, the drinks are free from artificial sweeteners, gluten, lactose, and GMOs, catering to a variety of dietary needs.

Steven Hegarty, co-founder of Biomel, stated that the launch of the new protein drinks is a strategic expansion of the company's portfolio, aiming to bring the brand into new occasions and formats. This move is expected to enhance the accessibility of Biomel's products throughout the day, promoting broader health and wellbeing.

In addition to the new product line, Biomel is also expanding its operations by establishing a new Innovation & Production Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. This facility will increase production capacity to meet the growing demand and is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The Love Your Gut protein drinks are currently available at Whole Foods, with plans to launch at Ocado later in the summer. The recommended retail price is £3 per 330ml bottle, and the range will be introduced to further retailers in the autumn.
