Bero Launches Kingston Golden Pils in Glass Bottles in the US and UK
Bero, a non-alcoholic beer brand co-founded by Tom Holland and John Herman, has made its Kingston Golden Pils available in glass bottles across the United States and the United Kingdom. This marks the brand's debut of glass bottles for its products, which are now available for purchase at berobrewing.com and select restaurants and bars.
John Herman, co-founder of Bero, stated that the vision for the brand always included glass bottles, highlighting the distinct experience they offer in terms of feel, pour, and the refreshment of the beer. He noted that the introduction of glass bottles aligns with the brand’s aim to provide an exceptional beer experience, even without alcohol.
The non-alcoholic beer sector in the US is seeing considerable growth, with projections indicating an annual increase of 18% through 2029. Glass bottles, while not yet the dominant packaging for non-alcoholic beer, represent more than a quarter of the category, driven by consumer demand.
Bero's decision to move into glass bottle packaging is also driven by strategic considerations of expanding its presence in bars, restaurants, and hotels, places where craft non-alcoholic beers are increasingly featured. Herman elaborated that this move reflects a gap in the current offerings within the modern craft non-alcoholic beer space.
Industry experts, like Anikó Lehtinen, have noted the growing attention breweries are giving to non-alcoholic beers, both in production and packaging, as the sales of alcoholic beer decline in many markets. This shift has resulted in better placement and a wider variety of non-alcoholic beers available commercially.
Bero's Kingston Golden Pils in glass bottles is priced at approximately $20 per six-pack, aiming to offer consumers a premium non-alcoholic beer experience.
